Members of the Legislative Council (MMN) conducted an official visit to The Prophetic Exhibition: The Heart of Madinah, an Islamic history–themed exhibition that offers the public an opportunity to view full-scale replicas of Rawdah Asy-Syarifah and the Noble Home of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ together with Sayyidatina Aisyah. The replicas were produced based on meticulous research and are currently displayed at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, yesterday.
The exhibition presents depictions of the replicas as they would have appeared during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ around the year 7 Hijrah, corresponding to 628 CE. It reflects the simplicity of the Prophet’s ﷺ way of life and was constructed with careful attention to scale and building materials used during that era.
Through comprehensive scholarly research conducted by Islamic scholars, the exhibition also showcases more than 40 historical artefacts and illustrative elements that provide insights into daily life and religious practices of the Madinah community at that time.
Guided by trained mutawifs, the exhibition places strong emphasis on appreciating the Sirah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, enabling visitors to understand not only historical facts but also the noble values, exemplary character, and way of life embodied by the Prophet ﷺ.
During the visit, the organisers explained that the exhibition is an initiative aimed at conveying knowledge and da‘wah to the public, with the objective of fostering deeper understanding and strengthening one’s connection to the Sirah of the Prophet through contextual learning and reflection.
“Our hope is that this large-scale, history-based exhibition will provide visitors with the opportunity to further appreciate the Sirah Nabawiyyah, as well as the perfection of the Prophet’s ﷺ character and teachings.
“In addition, it is hoped that the exhibition will nurture a deeper bond, and increase love and appreciation for the immense contributions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ,” said the exhibition manager.
Visitors shared their experiences, stating that the exhibition is not only informative and reflective, but also encourages personal introspection, deepens appreciation, and strengthens reverence for the legacy of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
