What do we do
The role and function of the Research and Services Division (Archives Unit) is to store collections of artifacts such as Manuscripts and Mushaf.
Meanwhile, another function of the Archives Unit of the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is to provide complete facilities for researchers
to carry out research works, among which is the provision of digitization methods for the collection of the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah,
for the sake of records and also as the main reference material.
The initiative to digitize the materials in this collection is one of the efforts to achieve His Majesty's intention as stated by His Majesty in conjunction
with the Opening of the Knowledge Convention 2019, stating that Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah also has a very broad role, such as collecting,
preserving, studying and disseminating, treasures of knowledge for the advancement of Islam and the Ummah in general. Therefore, from this excerpt of the Decree,
in conclusion, it has explained the roles of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, namely collecting (storage), preserving (preservation), studying
(research), disseminating (dissemination), as well as exhibiting (exhibition).
