A VISIT FROM THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY OF MALAYSIA

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, THURSDAY 8TH AUGUST 2024 - In conjunction with the event ‘Work Visit to Brunei Darussalam’, The Honourable Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia, and delegations of respective ministries visited Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) this morning.
The arrival of the entourage was welcomed by Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Dahliana binti Haji Aliakbar, Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Yang Mulia Pengiran Mohammad Jeffrynul Hafli bin Pengiran Haji Ali, Acting Director of Balai Khazanah Islam, Yang Mulia Dayang Salinah binti Haji Salleh, Acting Director of Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and Yang Mulia Dayang Kartini binti Haji Kabri, Acting Director of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
Prior to the gallery tour, The Honourable Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu signed the Memorial Parchment followed by a photo taking session.
The entourage then proceeded to the Special Gallery of Balai Khazanah Islam to view the ‘Faith & Devotion’ Art Exhibition. (A display of Orientalist arts in the 19th century that tells a story about Islamic culture.)
Apart from the ‘Faith & Devotion’ Art Exhibition, the entourage toured the personal collection of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and the collection of historical artifacts of Islamic civilisation.
To date, Balai Khazanah Islam has received about 23, 000 visitors since its reopening on the 12th of December 2022. Apart from attracting the public and tourists, Balai Khazanah Islam has captivated dignitaries and heads of state as well.
