GALLERY 1 :​ The King’s Wisdom:
This gallery focuses on the leadership, personality and intellectualism of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu‘izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam particularly from the Islamic perspective.  Among the collections displayed are published books that are part of the personal collections of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu‘izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Hukum Kanun Brunei (Canon Law of Brunei), Mushaf Brunei Darussalam and His Majesty’s cloak atfer performing the Hajj.


CANON LAW OF BRUNEI:
Owner: Pengiran Ya'kub ibni al-Marhum Maulana Paduka Seri Sultan Muhammad Tajuddin ibni Paduka Seri Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin ibni Paduka Seri Sultan Muhammad Alauddin Syah.

Dated 1281H.

This is a scanned copy of the Hukum Kanun manuscript bound in black leather. Handwriten in Malay Jawi script.
The manuscript consists of 45 Clauses and divided into six parts namely:

1. About the king.
2. About courts and criminal offenses.
3. About the loans and wages.
4. About agriculture.
5. About marriage and divorce.
6. About business.​
