The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments concluded the Majlis Tadarus in conjunction with the month of Ramadan for the year 1447 Hijrah / 2026, held at Masjid Ash-Shaliheen, today.
Present as the special guest at the event was the Minister at PMO and Minister of Defence II, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof.
Also in attendance were deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, senior officers, as well as officers and staff of PMO and its departments.
The event began with the presentation of a wakaf contribution by the Yang Berhormat Minister at PMO and Minister of Defence II, consisting of two sets of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras (‘indoor’ and ‘outdoor’) and a portable standing notice board to the Mosque Affairs Officer of Masjid Ash-Shaliheen, Department of Mosque Affairs, Awang Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran.
The ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Tadarus Al-Quran initiated by the special guest, and then the collective recitation from Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas along with the Takhtim recitation.
The Doa Khatam was recited by Awang Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin, followed by the breaking of the fast and the congregational Maghrib prayer.
Religious events during the month of Ramadan such as this are among the annual activities of JPM, aimed at strengthening ties among officers, staff, mosque congregants, and village residents, while enlivening the blessed month and striving for the rewards and blessings promised by Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala.
The event was organised by Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and the Public Service Department.
