Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah was officially inaugurated by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam on 13 Safar 1441 corresponding to 12 October 2019.

Through the establishment of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam wished to be committed in implementing its role to preserve the precious artifacts and beneficial knowledge introduce by eminent Islamic scholars by intensifying its development through collection, preservation, exhibition, research and dissemination of knowledge for the enrichment of Islam and the Ummah, thus reaching its potential to be known as “One Stop Islamic Tourism Destination”.
