The guests were welcomed by the Pengarah BKISHHB, Dr Haji Awang Mohammed Hussain.

The ceremony began with the collective recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam led by officers and staff of BKISHHB, followed by the recitation of the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by Muhammad Nazrul Helmi bin Muhammad Said Nazmi, Pegawai Skim Perantisan Perkhidmatan Awam (SKiPPA) BKISHHB.

The event was organised to further enliven the atmosphere at BKISHHB, especially in conjunction with the opening of the Bilik Rambut Mulia Rasulullah SAW, which will be open to the public for one month starting today, 1 Rabiulawal 1447 corresponding to 25 August, until 29 Rabiulawal 1447 corresponding to 22 September.

Among the most precious and invaluable collections in the gallery is the sacred artefact of the Rambut Mulia Rasulullah SAW. Members of the public are encouraged to take the opportunity to perform tabarruk by increasing their selawat upon the Prophet SAW.

Tabarruk refers to seeking blessings and goodness from Allah SWT that He places upon something honoured in His sight. As mentioned in the authentic hadith narrated by Imam al-Bukhari and Imam Muslim, Rasulullah SAW once distributed strands of his hair to his companions so that they could perform tabarruk and obtain blessings from it.
