Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain was appointed 
						as the Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji 
						Hassanal Bolkiah, Prime Minister’s Office on 01 June 
						2021.
	           			Prior to this appointment, he served as 
						Deputy Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University 
						(UNISSA), Ministry of Education (26 June 2014 - 31 May 
						2021); Senior Lecturer at the Sultan Omar ‘Ali 
						Saifuddien Centre for Islam Studies (SOASCIS), 
						Universiti Brunei Darussalam (12 May 2014 - 25 June 
						2014); Acting Assistant Rector UNISSA (16 June 2012 - 31 
						July 2013); Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Usuluddin, 
						UNISSA (09 July 2011 - 11 May 2014); Dean, Faculty of 
						Usuluddin, UNISSA (01 August 2010 - 31 December 2012); 
						Deputy Dean, Faculty of Usuluddin, UNISSA (20 August 
						2009 - 31 July 2010); Lecturer, Faculty of Usuluddin, 
						UNISSA (01 April 2008 - 08 July 2011); and Lecturer at 
						Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Institute of Islamic 
						Studies (IPISHOAS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (17 
						February 2003 - 31 March 2008).
	           		 
	           		
	           			He received a Bachelor’s degree 
						(Honours) in Islamic Studies, specialising in Hadith and 
						its Sciences from the Islamic University of Madinah, 
						Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2000. In 2003, he obtained a 
						Master’s degree in Fundamental Principles of Religion 
						specialising in Hadith from the University of Jordan, 
						Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In 2009, he received 
						his PhD degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the 
						Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, School of 
						Language and Cultures, Faculty of Arts and Social 
						Sciences at the University of Sydney, Australia.
