Hajah Siti Norhayatty binti Haji Morni was
appointed as Curator of Conservation at Balai Khazanah
Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on 13 March 2021.
Before the appointment, she had held a position as a
Scientific Officer in the Department of Museums,
Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (31 March 2005 -
March 12, 2021).
She received a Bachelor of Science in
Environmental Health from the University of Wales
Institute Cardiff, United Kingdom in 2003. In 2012, she
received a Master of Science in Conservation Biology
from the University of Kent, United Kingdom.
Her professional experience spans more
than 19 years of competency in the field of museum,
especially management, health and safety, archive,
acquisition, preservation, excavation, restoration,
repair of artifacts/collection materials and
biodiversity of fauna and flora. Her museum experience
was gained through involvement as a speaker and
attending several conferences, workshops, symposiums,
seminars and courses abroad such as in Borneo, Southeast
Asia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. She is
also one of the divers (PADI certified) while working in
the Department of Museums.
