Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) welcomed a visit from the former Commander of the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI), His Excellency General (Rtd.) Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa.
His Excellency General (Rtd.) Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa was in Brunei Darussalam to attend the Royal Wedding Ceremony between Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah, daughter of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar, son of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
The Royal Wedding Reception Ceremony was held on Sunday at Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana, Istana Nurul Iman.
His Excellency General (Rtd.) Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa and his delegation of 12 members began the visit by signing the Visitors’ Book, followed by the presentation of a souvenir by Acting Director of BKISHHB, Dr. Haji Awang Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Ahmad, to His Excellency General (Rtd.) Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa.
The delegation then proceeded to tour the BKISHHB Exhibition Galleries before concluding the visit with a group photograph.
The Exhibition Galleries at BKISHHB reopened to the public on 12 December 2022 and are open daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, except Fridays.
Among the highlights on display across the nine exhibition galleries are collections of Qur’anic manuscripts in various forms and sizes, the Noble Hair of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, a fragment of the Burdah of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, as well as replicas of the Prophet’s footprints, swords and staff.
The galleries also feature a diverse collection of Islamic manuscripts, Islamic astronomical instruments, staffs, prayer beads, fossils and many other artefacts.
