Pengiran Mohammad Wafi bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahim is the Head of the Research and Publication Division at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB). He began his service with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in 2019 before being appointed as an Ethnography Officer at BKISHHB in 2021. He has an academic background in Brunei Studies (by Research) from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
His areas of expertise and research include Brunei’s material cultural heritage, particularly woven textiles, as well as ethnography and museology. As Head of the Research and Publication Division, he focuses on the management and development of research at BKISHHB through the study, documentation, and publication of its collections, as well as efforts to improve access to research resources and findings for the benefit of researchers and the wider community. He is also actively involved in scholarly writing and presenting papers at national and international levels.
