Charity is a noble deed and has many benefits, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. Of which, the blessing of this holy month could be felt amongst all Muslims, including the underprivileged.
Muslims are also encouraged to live by caring for one another. By doing so, it will elevate feelings of respect and endearment towards all Muslims. One of the ways to accomplish this ideal concept of life is by participating in charity.
In relation to this, Balai Khazanah Islam has visited ten (10) underprivileged families to donate basic necessities under the ‘Sedekah Ramadhan’ (translated: Ramadan Charity). Of which, is a first time welfare program by Balai Khazanah Islam during the month of Ramadan 1445H/2024AD.
Present at the event was the lead entourage, Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Dr. Haji Awang Mohammad Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Awang Haji Ahmad who donated the basic necessities to the families.
One of the aims of this charity program was to instill and foster the acts of concern towards underprivileged people by aiding them with basic necessities, and finally to create a platform that continues to encourage Balai Khazanah Islam’s community to be involved in doing the noble deed of charity.
