A total of 34 participants and observers from Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB), Department of Museums, Brunei History Centre, Da’wah Islamiah Centre, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Museum, Royal Brunei Police Force Museum and Brunei Darussalam National Currency Gallery (NBD) received their certificates at the closing ceremony held at the Auditorium in BKISHHB this afternoon.​

 

The Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation of the Museum Collection Management Programme was officiated by the guest of honour, Deputy Minister (Public Service Administration) in the Prime Minister’s Department, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, who is also a Member of the Advisory Board of BKISHHB.
Also present was the Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, United States Embassy (US) in NBD, Christopher Pritchett.

 

The ceremony began with closing remarks by the Acting Director of BKISHHB, Pengiran Mohammad Jeffrynul Hafli bin Pengiran Haji Ali, who among others expressed his appreciation to the US Embassy in the country, guest speakers and members of the working committee for successfully implementing the Museum Collection Management Program.

 

The participants, he said, were encouraged to deepen the knowledge they had acquired to take advantage of the collaborations formed during the programme. They were urged to apply what they had learned in their work and ensure that the museum’s collections were preserved and managed carefully and thoroughly.

 

The three-day Museum Collection Management Programme was organised by BKISHHB in collaboration with the US Embassy in NBD.

 

The program also featured an expert under the US Speaker Program, namely the Interim Deputy Director for Collections and Exhibitions at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art, Ms. Danielle Bennett.
