His Royal Highness Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam attended the launching of the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah building’s logo.
Upon arrival His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (B) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Minister of Defence II, as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Minister of Finance and Economy II, as a Member of the Advisory Board of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
His Royal Highness then unveiled Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Building Logo, which contains the personal emblem of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as well as the name of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in Rumi and Jawi script ‘Thuluth Jali’ to symbolize Brunei Darussalam which upholds the use of Jawi script.
There are nine (9) logos placed in five (5) separate locations around the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Building, of which one of the largest logos has been placed at the front of the Building.
The logo is decorated with neon lights which are lit from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm in conjunction with the 78th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiahis an institution that stores and exhibits very valuable Islamic heritage treasures and plays a role in carrying out activities of collecting, researching, studying, expanding and disseminating Islamic information and knowledge. The hall also has nine (9) galleries that display the personal collections of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam which focus on Islamic civilization such as mushaf collections from various countries, manuscripts (in Arabic, Farsi and Nusantara), sticks, prayer beads, as well as a collection of fossils and Islamic astronomical artifacts. The institution has also received visitors consisting of Heads of State, dignitaries and foreign tourists as well as the people and residents of Brunei Darussalam.
