BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 5 September – In conjunction with commemorating the Birth of Baginda Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, various religious activities have been held throughout Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) also took part in enlivening and honouring this blessed month. In this regard, a Majlis Berselawat was held at BKISHHB to mark the opening of the Bilik Rambut Mulia Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam for a month throughout Rabiulawal 1446 Hijrah, beginning today, 1 Rabiulawal 1446H corresponding to 5 September 2024, until Thursday, 29 Rabiulawal 1446H corresponding to 3 October 2024.
Present as special guests at the ceremony were the Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Kewangan dan Ekonomi II, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah; Menteri Sumber-Sumber Utama dan Pelancongan, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin; Menteri Pembangunan, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid; Menteri Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad; and the Mufti Kerajaan, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr.) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, who are members of the Lembaga Penasihat BKISHHB.
The presence of the special guests was welcomed by the Pengarah BKISHHB, Dr. Haji Awang Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Ahmad.
The ceremony began with a collective recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam led by 15 guru ugama from the Jabatan Pengajian Islam (JPI).
This was followed by the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam led by Pegawai Pelajaran Ugama JPI, Awang Mohammad Zamery bin Haji Nayan.
The collection of the Rambut Mulia Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is among the most precious and invaluable artefacts housed at BKISHHB. The public is welcome to take this opportunity to perform tabarruk with the Rambut Mulia Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, while increasing their recitation of selawat.
